Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our wood sculptures, hand-painted oil artworks, custom orders, shipping, and returns.Sculptures & Materials
What makes Arbynart different?
Arbynart is dedicated to distinctive wood sculptures with a strong sense of form, material, and presence. We focus on pieces that bring natural texture and sculptural character to contemporary interiors, from a quiet tabletop accent to a large statement piece.
Are the sculptures exactly the same as the product photos?
Product photos represent the intended design, style, and finish. Because wood is a natural material and many pieces are made or finished by hand, each sculpture has its own grain, color tone, texture, and small handcrafted details. Your piece will be true to the selected design and specifications, but it will not be a factory-identical copy of a photograph.
Are knots, grain patterns, or color differences considered defects?
No. Grain patterns, knots, mineral marks, tonal variation, and natural texture are inherent characteristics of wood. These details are part of the individuality and visual warmth of each piece, not defects.
Will the color look the same in my home?
We make every effort to present colors and finishes accurately. However, appearance can vary with screen settings, photography, natural light, interior lighting, wall color, and surrounding materials. If you have a specific color or finish requirement, please contact us before ordering.
How do I choose the right size?
Please review the dimensions listed on the product page and consider the scale of the intended location. For a custom recommendation, send us your available dimensions, a photo of the space, and the approximate placement. We will be happy to help you choose a suitable size.
Hand-Painted Oil Artwork
Are Arbynart oil paintings painted by hand?
Yes. Our oil artworks are painted by hand on canvas. Product images represent the intended composition, palette, style, and overall appearance of the selected design.
Will my painting look exactly like the product photos?
Because each painting is created by hand, small variations in brushwork, texture, color blending, and fine details are normal. Your painting will follow the selected design and specifications, but it will not be a mechanically identical reproduction of a photograph.
How does the artwork preview and approval process work?
When your painting is complete, we will email preview photographs to the address provided with your order. Please check your inbox and spam or junk folder, then reply to approve the artwork for framing and shipment or to request reasonable revisions.
If we do not receive a response within 12 calendar days after sending the preview, we will send a reminder and place the order on hold. We do not automatically approve, frame, or ship an artwork because a customer has not responded.
Can I request revisions to an oil painting?
Reasonable revisions that remain consistent with the original order may be requested before approval. A request that materially changes the original subject, composition, size, colors, reference image, or customization instructions may require additional production time and cost. We will confirm any additional charge before beginning that work.
How do I choose the size or framing option for an oil painting?
Please review the size and presentation options shown on the product page. When measuring your wall, consider the available width and height, surrounding furniture, and whether you are ordering a rolled canvas, stretched canvas, or framed presentation. Contact us before ordering if you would like help choosing a suitable option.
Custom Orders
Can I customize a sculpture?
Yes. Depending on the design, we may be able to offer custom dimensions, colors, finishes, and design variations. Please contact us with your request before placing an order.
Can I customize an oil painting?
Yes. Depending on the artwork, we may be able to adjust the canvas dimensions, color palette, subject, composition, texture, or presentation option. Please send your request before ordering so we can confirm feasibility, production time, and any additional cost.
What information should I provide for a custom request?
For a sculpture, please include your desired dimensions (H × W × D), preferred color or finish, style or reference images, delivery destination, and preferred timeline. For an oil painting, please include the desired canvas dimensions (W × H), palette, subject or composition direction, presentation preference, reference images, and delivery destination. The more detail you provide, the more accurately we can review the request.
Can you make an exact copy from a photo or reference image?
Reference images are helpful for communicating style, shape, and overall direction. Because every sculpture is handcrafted and natural materials vary, we do not promise an exact mechanical reproduction unless this has been specifically agreed in writing as part of your custom order.
Can you create an oil painting from a reference image?
Reference images can help communicate the subject, palette, mood, and composition you prefer. You must have the right to provide and use any image submitted for a custom project. Because the artwork is painted by hand, an exact mechanical copy is not guaranteed. We will confirm the agreed direction before production begins.
Can I change or cancel a custom order?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change. Custom orders cannot be cancelled once they have entered production or once materials and production time have been committed. Approved changes may require additional time and cost.
Orders & Production
How will I know that my order was successful?
After placing an order, you will receive an order-confirmation email at the address entered during checkout. Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not see it. If you still cannot locate the confirmation, contact us at support@arbynart.com.
How long does production take for a wood sculpture?
Most Arbynart pieces are made to order. Standard production generally takes 2–3 weeks after your order is accepted. Custom dimensions, colors, finishes, or design variations may require additional production time.
How long does production take for an oil painting?
Most oil paintings are individually hand-painted after an order is placed. Standard production generally takes approximately 7–10 business days. Larger paintings, heavily textured paintings, multi-panel artwork, commissioned artwork, and orders requiring substantial customization may take longer.
Production time does not include weekends, public holidays, time spent waiting for customer information, revision time, preview approval time, or shipping time.
Can I change or cancel a standard wood sculpture order?
Standard, non-custom orders may be cancelled before they have shipped. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled and must follow the return process. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need assistance.
Can I change or cancel an oil painting order?
Please contact us as soon as possible. An oil painting order may be cancelled before production begins. Once painting has started or approved custom specifications have entered production, the order cannot be cancelled without charge, except where required by applicable law. We will review the production status and confirm any applicable cost before processing a cancellation request.
What payment methods do you accept?
Available payment methods are displayed securely at checkout. The options shown may vary by your location, currency, and the payment services available at the time of purchase.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship?
We offer complimentary shipping to destinations available at checkout. Availability may vary based on the delivery address, product size, carrier coverage, and local import requirements. If your country is not available at checkout, please contact us before ordering.
How long will delivery take for a wood sculpture?
After production is complete, smaller and tabletop sculptures sent by air freight typically take 7–12 business days in transit. Larger and floor sculptures sent by sea or freight service typically take 3–5 weeks in transit.
These are estimates and do not include production time. Customs clearance, weather, public holidays, carrier disruptions, remote-area delivery, and other circumstances may affect the final delivery date.
How long will delivery take for an oil painting?
After you approve the completed artwork, oil painting delivery normally takes approximately 4–8 business days by trackable air service.
When approval is provided promptly and no revisions or unusual delays occur, the estimated combined production and delivery period is generally 11–18 business days. These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.
Which carriers do you use?
Oil paintings and smaller sculptures are generally sent by air through trusted carriers such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, or another trackable carrier selected for the destination and package requirements. Larger sculptures may be shipped by sea or freight service because of their size and weight.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. When tracking is available, we will send a shipping confirmation with tracking details to the email address used at checkout after your order has been dispatched. Freight and sea shipments can take additional time for tracking updates to appear.
Is shipping free?
Complimentary standard shipping is included for eligible orders and destinations available at checkout. To protect a large or delicate sculpture, an order may be shipped in multiple packages at no additional shipping charge.
For oil painting orders delivered within the United States, standard shipping is complimentary. Optional expedited or special delivery services may involve an additional charge disclosed before arrangement.
Will I need to pay import taxes or customs duties?
Unless duties, taxes, customs fees, brokerage fees, or similar destination-country charges are expressly shown as included or collected at checkout, they are the responsibility of the recipient. Customs requirements and charges vary by destination.
For oil painting orders delivered within the United States, Arbynart covers ordinary import duties and customs clearance charges associated with the shipment. Applicable sales tax, if required, may still be calculated and collected separately at checkout.
What happens if my shipment is delayed, lost, or has no tracking updates?
Delivery estimates can be affected by carrier and customs delays. If tracking has not updated for 10 business days after dispatch, or your order has passed the estimated delivery window, please contact us with your order number. We will review the shipment and work with the carrier to investigate.
My order is marked as delivered, but I have not received it. What should I do?
Please check the carrier tracking details, delivery location, household members, building staff, and nearby neighbors first. If the package still cannot be located, contact us promptly with your order number. We will assist with a carrier investigation where appropriate.
Returns & Support
What is your return policy?
Standard, non-custom items may be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are unused, uninstalled, free from damage or alteration, and returned with original packaging and protective materials whenever possible.
This return period also applies to eligible standard, non-personalized oil painting orders. A painting must be returned in its original condition and securely packed with its protective materials.
Custom-made or personalized items are final sale for change-of-mind returns, unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
Where should I send an approved return?
Please contact support@arbynart.com before sending anything back. We will provide the authorized return instructions and return address after approving your request. Do not return an item to the address shown on the shipping label without authorization.
Approved oil painting returns are handled by Arbynart and use Arbynart’s authorized return address in Xiamen, China.
Who pays for return shipping?
For a return due to a change of mind, preference, or an order placed in error, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, Arbynart will provide an appropriate resolution at no additional cost to you.
Do you offer exchanges?
We do not offer direct exchanges. The simplest option is to request a return for the original item and, once approved, place a separate order for the piece you prefer.
What should I do if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please contact support@arbynart.com within 3 business days of delivery. Include your order number and clear photos or videos of the item, the internal protective packaging, and the outer shipping carton. Please keep all packaging materials until the issue is resolved.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a replacement, repair, return arrangement, full refund, or partial refund.
How long does a refund take?
Once an approved return has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to post the refund.
